The LG G7 is said to have a much-earlier-than-expected release date if the reports coming out of South Korea proved to be correct. The device may likely be shown off at the Consumer Electronics Fair next year in January. LG’s has two new flagships on the horizon and one of them is the LG G7, the other being the V30. The LG V30 may go on sale in August of this year, which is on time as the LG V20 was announced in September last year.
The LG G7 will likely be shown off at the event in January, which is far ahead of schedule. Remember that the LG G6 was also launched at the Mobile World Congress this year, which is always a standard yardstick of when the next iteration is on the horizon as well. If the new LG V7 does come to the MWC next year, it will be expected as well.
The main reason why we believe that the new phone, which is also the flagship model, will come early is to give stiff competition to comparable devices including the Apple iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8, both of which devices are also expected to launch later this year as well.
According to the experts, it is very important to realise that this will be a very powerful phone. We already know that the new LG G7 is under development and the new device will be the one flagship to worry about when the other devices launched. It will launch with the latest hardware from Qualcomm, which is said to be 7nm Snapdragon 845 processors. The LG G6 had launched with Snapdragon 821, which is a platform which is not nearly as sophisticated as the SD 835 which powers the latest devices. Also, we are almost certain that the new 845 processor will be almost 30 percent more energy efficient besides being blazing fast as well.
On that note, if the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 arrives on time, it will be incumbent on LG to release the new G7 as quickly as it can. Sales volumes are what, at the end of the day, really matters. By that time, the product lifecycle will also be over, as it runs for about 10-11 months.
